The four Thursdays in March are perfect to practice for opening day–April 2!
So I am, with the help of engineer Everett Armstrong and his assistant Allan Moody. We did the first show last Thursday, March 5. We video recorded the show; and I listened and watched and made all sort of notes where improvement is needed.
Our second show is Thursday, March 12, right in the midst of the rising tide of things cancelled. I will be on the air—Thursday afternoon, 1 pm EST, rebroadcast Sunday morning, 7 am EST—talking to my pastor about a church’s response to this health crisis.
Also on the show, I think and hope, is my daughter, Sarah Kate, all the way from Italy, just outside of Florence.
The best way to listen is log onto the radio station web site. www.rejoice975.com.
We will be experimenting with video through Facebook Live; and when we get it all working, we will edit these programs into podcasts and put them up on one of the national podcast platforms.
All along, I am thinking of other radio stations around the country that might welcome a show like ours: news, commentary, reviews, and conversations on religion and American life. Check out the stations in your area and send me a suggestion!
Until then, turn your radio on!!
