In October of 2020, I began the task of researching and writing about Christian profession and White Supremacy centered around two events in the life of my dad, George Thomas Moody (Tom Moody, 1923-2013): the last public hanging in America (1936 in Owensboro, Kentucky) and Tom Moody’s conversion and baptism (shortly thereafter on a yet-to-be-determined date).

I am writing occasional articles about my research, laying the ground work for what I hope will be a novel connecting these two events more than 80 years ago with our struggle today to understand and countermand what is known as White Supremacy in the church and in society. I call these articles the GTM File.
